One of my favorite things to do is listen to the Westfield Symphony. So this year, I plan to Ring in the New Year with the Westfield Symphony: The fully-professional Westfield Symphony Orchestra presents ‘That’s Entertainment’ at 7 p.m. at Westfield High School. The show is a revue of American musical theater classics presented in glorious symphonic splendor, according to the WSO. The cabaret-style celebration is appropriate for all ages and will feature guest vocalists direct from the Broadway stage. They always delight me and the show finishes at 9 pm so there’ll be plenty of time for dinner at a nice restaurant nearby with champagne to welcome 2012.
You can join all the avid fans, but I warn you, tickets are going fast. Advance tickets are priced at $40 and $70. For tickets and information, visit the symphony’s website or call 908-232-9400. Tickets and subscriptions can be purchased online.
I hope to see you there and meantime, I hope you have a healthy, happy and successful 2012.
